Hike to a Paradise River with Beach (long)
Join us on our hike alongside a horse to a paradise beach perfect for swimming!
You can see different kinds of birds, sometimes monkeys,
pre-Columbian stone spheres, enjoy a spectacular view and learn about plants.
The horses walk on our side as our friends instead of being the slaves to carry us…
Our hike leads to a paradise beach with shallow water for the perfect swim. You can even go into the water together with the horses if you wish! After having a sandwich we will head our way back to the lodge.
Hike to a River (short)
The Rio Drake is much closer to our lodge. Although there is no sandy beach, there is nature around and water holes to swim. You can spot birds and see pre-columbian stone spheres on the way.
In this river you can often find a special kind of mud which you can rub on your body or you can do some body painting with it.

Why walking and not riding?
There are different reasons why we offer walking and not riding:
- two of the horses have a physical limitations
- more freedom and well-being for the horse: scientific studies had shown that horses do have pain in their back when ridden for more than 15min
- more friendship and tranquility between humans and horses
